This place is simply amazing and the food... oh...my...god! I didn't know it was possible for food to taste that good. Classy, delicious and not a bad price considering what you actually get. I highly recommend a tasting menu if they have one on
The vain, preening, shouty, toupee-wearing narcissus was not on duty when we visited, but not to worry: the food was excellent. My starter of deep-fried Camembert was delicious and the side order of garlic bread was toasted to perfection. For main I had the deconstructed corn beef hash with market bought greens and yet more garlic bread, the fruit-laced Sangria really bringing out the flavours of the food. For dessert I had the wonderful Jam Rolls Polly with custard (no, I didn’t have any more garlic bread!) followed by coffee (Mellow Birds) and mints. A quick boogy at the bar and we were on our way home. A great experience.

The atmosphere was great and nice and cosy. However the smoked salmon was quite salty. My daughter came back home and complained that it was very salty. My game menu wasn't very good either so returned it. The kidney pie was just not tasty. However probably it is just my opinion. The staff were kind and good experience for perhaps....once...
Had a perfect lunch here, with great food and wonderful service. We ordered the roast rump cap of beef, and a steak and kidney pie. Both yummy. The freshly-made horseradish was something else to shout about too. Will definitely come back again.

Hip cocktail bar downstairs, chic dining upstairs. The menu is very strong on seafood and game with fresh, simple, delicious preparations. We enjoyed the sole and venison. Purple flowering broccoli was rather normal broccoli but happily not cooked to mush-- crisp and buttery and delicious. Fantastic service and convenient cloak room-- no wait!
We had a lunch for 20 people in Mark's Bar downstairs, last Saturday. The room was warm and welcoming, with loads of room for our unruly children to run around and play. We had the 'Autumn Feast' set menu because of the size of our party. All three courses were delicious, and there was a huge amount of food. Service was attentive, friendly and very patient..... Bloody Mary's were excellent!! Need an excuse to go back ASAP.
