Cinemas around London

Picturehouse Central

Corner of Shaftesbury Avenue and Great Windmill Street, Piccadilly, London W1D 7DH, UK – 0871 902 5747

Came here with friends to watch the England semi-final. Drinks were very reasonably priced for Central London and food was delicious, though could do with some sharing platters. Definitely recommend the chicken wings. Nice atmosphere and vibe, and not too crowded either. Great place to have a drink with friends and you don't even need to be going to the cinemas.

Excellent cinema, has rep films and presentations. Downstairs cafe is licensed and a great West End meeting place. Upstairs bar and brasserie is not so good, self-service is slow. The Members Bar is great! Great value and a smoking terrace, but shuts at 2100

Electric Cinema

191 Portobello Rd, Notting Hill, London W11 2ED, UK – 020 7908 9696

Really wonderful cinema. Their website is missing some info, it was pretty warm in there and they don't have popcorn... But the beds for the show were super comfy, you don't feel like you're straining your neck. The intro to remind you to shut your phone off was particularly well done. Definitely worth trying it out.

We had a work event at the Cinema which was a superb venue however I then decided to go back as a paying customer to the diner with a few colleague after the event. The service was simply outstanding and I am certain I shall be visting this venue again with my partner and friends. Congratulations to your team and in particular the Diner side for so many things but it's always so refreshing when you are looked after by people who take the hospitality trade as a vocation and career not just a job. Thoroughly recommend this venue for any occasion.

Vue

19 Regent St, St. James's, London SW1Y 4LR, UK – 0345 308 4620

This Vue is my new favorite Cinema in London. While it is in the city center, it doesn’t seem to get too crowded. I go almost every Monday night after work, and I have no complaints thus far. I’m amazed at how they fit those enormous cinemas into this tiny space!

Although the price of a ticket is a bit steep, I do understand as it's in Central London. During and after the movie I did need to use the toilet but due to me having problems with my colon I asked for the disabled toilet key. Even though I may not look ill I was not judged or asked for anything apart from to return the key once finished. This made me feel more comfortable and was able to ask for it the second time without any stress 👌🏼

Theatres for London

Delfont Mackintosh Theatres

5 Aldwych, London WC2B 4LD, UK – 0844 482 5138

Always brilliant to deal with, I have exchanged tickets no problem more than once. Really nice company to deal with and great productions. Infinitely better than the awful Ticketmaster.

Great theatre, great stuff! Too bad my daughter and I could not fully enjoy the show (Mamma Mia) for some rude and abnoxious girls behinds us who talked the whole time. There were many announcements about cell phones and photos, perhaps something should be mentioned about staying quite as well, although those ignorant girls would have probably ignored it anyway.

Fortune Theatre Box Office

Russell St, London WC2B 5HH, UK – 0844 871 7626

Fast service.

Great show

Apollo Theatre

Shaftesbury Ave, Soho, London W1D 7EZ, UK – 0330 333 4809

Great theatre and fantastic show. Plenty of leg room, comfortable seats. Cozy bars. Very friendly and helpful staff. The musical itself (Everybody's Taking About Jamie) is the best we've been to - time flew. Laughed, nearly cried, danced. Highly recommended.

Beautiful theatre. Came here to see Wicked which was a wonderful show. The signposting of where to go once inside is good and staff were helpful. Prices of food and drink expensive but usual for west end shows. Overall would recommend this theatre.
